Archivists of Azeroth
A World of Warcraft roleplaying guild based in Moon Guard, but we welcome Wyrmrest Accord players!18+ only!We are cross-faction, cross-realm, and LGBTQ+ friendly!
Proudly a safe place for neurodivergent players and characters.
Our major focus is researching the magic of Azeroth and beyond— but that doesn't mean that it's only for academics! We could always use medics, bodyguards, and even informants in our ranks. If you don't want to fully pledge yourself to us, you could always be an ally!We pride ourselves on having a collaborative space. Everyone gets to contribute to the guild and its storylines— there will never be a singular main character of the guild. As a member you will be free to host and run your own events and storylines! In fact, we encourage it!We are not interested in becoming a powerhouse by any definition— this guild was founded to be a place for everyone to share their stories and characters. We welcome both seasoned and newer roleplayers! We are an 18+ only guild, so please, no minors.
(October 3 2024) We are officially welcoming new members! We have a page up on the in-game Guild Finder (sadly on the Horde side of Moon Guard), welcoming applicants! But to make our lives easier, please write in the application which rank your character would be the best fit for:
Ally
Bodyguard
Informant
Medic
Scholar
We also ask that you supplement every application with a letter. Moon Guard Alliance players please address it to 'Xelokhan' or 'Asternaa', and Moon Guard Horde players, address it to 'Restrull'.For Wyrmrest Accord Horde players, address it to 'Anestraa'.Within the letter, tell us about yourself along with your character(s), clarify that you are at least 18 years of age, and what is your character hoping to accomplish by joining AoA?
(June 30 2025) The Archivists of Azeroth was recruited by foremost expert on Earthen (at least before Khaz Algar appeared), Professor Ashdelver to assist on an expedition. In doing so, AoA was promised access to their archives for HYPATIA to index. But on that expedition they learned of the professor's oddly deep pockets, and a strange third party calling herself 'Pandora' who interfered in the mission while controlling undead. The undead were dispatched by the guild and returned back to report their success and inquired about Pandora.Ashdelver's assistant, Kanmon Oddstone, as thanks for dispatching the threats, revealed that he frequents shady auctions, and was recently outbid at one of these auctions by Pandora. After searching the archives at the University of Ironforge, they learned that Professor Ashdelver has a long history of blackmail, a professor he was blackmailing being exposed for his plagiarism. A name was given to them that was relevant to their case: Goldhand. Why that name is relevant, remains to be seen.
